I will be moving across the country to North Carolina soon and while I visited the area, did not get a good chance to view all the rentals. Ideally I need to sign a lease prior to moving, but am having a bit of trouble deciding on a place. Originally I had planned on living in Wilmington, but since work would require me to commute west/southwest outside of town, I kept hearing horror stories about bridge traffic during rush hour, which prompted me to opt for a rental in Leland, NC instead.

I wasn't able to find a ton of options, but there were 3 I was interested in: Hunterstone, Dandy Ct. townhouses, and The Park at Village Oaks. I would be happy for any information anyone has about these properties! Thanks!

I think you were wise to rent on the Leland side of the river. My only comment is that Eddie Romanelli's is a decent Italian restaurant, and I would be tempted to recommend HunterStone just because the web site mentioned it. I haven't been to any of the properties.

Leland is a very nice up and coming area south of Wilmington.....it has very nice communities...the only downfall is the traffic..going across the Cape Fear Bridge in the mornings is a bit hairy! Best of luck! Let us know if you find something decent.....my husband and I may move up that way next year...just a thought right now! Thank you....
