There is a fiber optic company called ATMC in Brunswick County. They have recently hooked up the Compass Pointe community. I do not know in what other areas they are currently available.
It is only "some" areas of Compass Pointe, St James and Ocean Ridge.
I would say that ATMC is available to most neighborhoods of Compass Pointe. ATMC trucks were all over the place a couple of months ago installing lines everywhere. I have not seen them around lately. Any areas that do not have service are probably some of the newer home sites. With being such a new community there are new home sites becoming available that were trees and brush just weeks before.
We are headed down for our first trip to Coastal Carolina. We will be attending a Weekend visit for Compass Point in November. We plan out checking out CP, BF, and Waterford. Where else should we be looking and what should we be asking. We are looking for existing Townhomes for sale. So the Compass Point event is just to get us down there. Our Goal is to Sell the existing home next spring and move down there next September. Any Help will be appreciated.

Shame you can't get down there this month? Brunswick County has a "Parade of HOmes' that highlights many builders and you can go through over 50 open houses of all kinds of homes - in different areas like Leland/Southport/Ocean Isle Beach area. Listen to Goldenage - her suggestion of "Carolina Plantations' is right on target - they have lots of information about the various developments down there - developments are called 'plantations' there....we own a lot in Ocean Ridge Plantation ourselves and would love to build in about 3-4 years.....Best of luck!!
