Is a whole house water system a good idea? As we come closer to construction completition many things come to mind.

Tarheel, we are going to install a Kinetico system, filtering our water to our fridge and ice maker and water softener for the rest. Usually the builder will rough in the plumbing, and then you put it in after the fact.

Let us know what you decide upon yourself. We are leaning Kinetico.

Can anyone in or near SJP recommend either a dog sitter or a nice kennel for our English Setter? We will need one for about 2 weeks a month or so after we move in.

Thanks!

We took our dog to Adam’s Folly for 11 years. They’re phenomenal. A couple times he needed a vet and they drove him to our vet for treatment. They are the best boarding kennel we ever used.

We have used Dog Days. They do an excellent job. They seem to be a bit more expensive but in general, they are all inclusive. Where some kennels seem to have additional charges for anything other than feeding your dog, Dog Days includes a lot of socialization and play time. They tend to stay pretty full if that is any indication.

We have been using Tiki Paws on 130 West right off 17 in Shallotte. They are the best and have a converted warehouse with lots of room for the dogs to get exercise. We have a 90 lb. Golden and only 25.00 a night. They are the best down here.....
