We recently spent a month to research the different communities in the area, as we are looking to relocate in the near future. For some reason, Waterberry was never mentioned to us as a possibility. Does anyone have any recent information on this community? The other threads on this site were from 2014, so too old to be helpful. Thanks in advance for any information you can share.

The last thread in that old (2014) post calls it a "hidden gem" in Leland. With only 57 homesites, and only 2 houses and 5 lots on the market recently, it is not surprising it attracts little attention. I agree it is worth attention if you are in the market for a one-acre lot, or a house in the $400-600K plus range. I read that Leland stopped allowing gated communities. A Google Maps review also said the the clubhouse burned in 2016 and was rebuilt. The pool looks great, and there is also tennis. i would ask a Realtor about the HOA fees.

Thank you for the information - I didn't realize Waterberry is so much smaller than everything else we looked at. Wish we had been able to take a ride through when we were there with a realtor, just to see if we liked the feel of it !
