I haven't seen any threads about the different neighborhoods in New Bern since 2008/2009. At least that is where I keep getting directed to when I search on the site. We are looking to find a 2 story, 4 bed, 3 bath home under 325K with mature landscaping around it. We won't build because of the minimal landscaping in a new development, but have heard that there are many nice subdivisions where there are houses with lots of trees and not on top of each other. I really like the homes in the River Bluffs neighborhood but a relative who lives nearby says that the turnover there is high and that there are nicer neighborhoods we could find. We like Taberna too and realize these are mostly older but updated homes which is fine. It does sound expensive to be a member of the country club, not sure about that. Colours looks nice but not affordable at our price point. Are there any neighborhoods you can recommend for us and also what are the 'cons' of living in River Bluffs? TIA

Have you looked at Trent Woods? BTW, are you asking about River Bend rather than River Bluffs?

I think a good realtor could help you.

Yes, goldenage1! I just drove through there yesterday. It's very nice. Also, I was referring to River Bluffs which I also saw yesterday. Was far more impressed with Trent Woods though. Thanks much!
