Mainly because of the outlets....which are really specific to Myrtle Beach (a big tourist destination).

Which brings up the point...with Myrtle Beach an hour and a half and Raleigh 2 hours and what is in Wilmington you have a ton of shopping options. Those two destinations can be day trips.

Absolutely.....we've did many day trips to Myrtle and Raleigh. We've also did a day trip to Smithfield to the outlets there. As a matter of fact,Carolina Pottery in Smithfield is where we purchased our all weather wicker furniture for the front porch.
