Today Angelo State beat Michigan Tech 42-41. This is important because now Angelo State travels to Pueblo next weekend for round 2. Kickoff is at noon. The irony is earlier in the season Angelo State was suppose to travel to Pueblo and play but after Pueblo beat them so bad in Dallas last year on national TV they canceled and that is why Pueblo played and ended up beating division 1 FCS Sam Houston State University. This time they can not cancel lol. Should be a fun game and I already have my tickets.
The countdown to kickoff is 7 days and if anything important comes up I will post it here!
Sam Houston State University (SHSU) finished the season 8-4 (7-1) in conference, They didn't play Southeastern Louisiana who also finished 7-1 in conference and has the better overall record. SHSU should get an unseeded game in the FCS playoffs, not bad for a team that got demoralized by CSU Pueblo, a D2 team, earlier this year and in my opinion shows how good CSU Pueblo really is. If Pueblo manages to win the national title this year in D2 it will be interesting how this game is viewed.
Tomorrow is the big game! Kickoff is at noon and I have tickets for the club house so will get there by 11. The forecast calls for a nice sunny day with a high in the low 70's! Can't beat that in Pueblo for the end of November. As usual I will post pictures after the game and if/when Pueblo wins who they will play next week and where. Personally I think Pueblo will win by 2 touchdowns.
This is the second playoff game CSU Pueblo won and congrats East on their first state championship. A great football day in Pueblo.
Back to CSU Pueblo. Since they won and Ohio Dominican beat Ferris State Pueblo will host ODU next Saturday!
A few pictures of the 52-14 blowout in Pueblo.
EDIT:
By the way, Sam Houston State just beat Southeastern Louisiana 21 to 17 in their first FCS playoff game. This shows that Pueblo beat a good division 1 FCS team!!!!!!!!
For the record:
For anyone who cares CSU-P brought football back in 2008
2008 no playoffs
2009 no playoffs
2010 no playoffs
2011 loss to minn duluth 2nd round
2012 win vs indy, loss to wtam
2013 loss to gv
2014 win vs asu.....
CSUP is 2-3 in the playoffs so far..

I have been reading up on Ohio Dominican University (ODU) to try and come up with a prediction and I have one.
Having seen CSU Pueblo play and read what people said about ODU, I think the edge has to go to Pueblo. Their defense is one of the best I've seen in a while, and their offense is big and powerful and the team is healthy. From what I have heard ODU is fast, but their defense can definitely break down. If Pueblo contains ODU's running game, ODU will be in trouble. Im predicting CSU P 38 ODU 24.
Then hopefully Pueblo can secure another home playoff game as the two teams they could play against in region 2, #5 Valdosta St. (8-2) and #6 West Georgia (9-2), are ranked lower and have lost one more game each. That would mean that all the playoff games this season Pueblo plays in will be in Pueblo and the only "away" game would be for the title game in the neutral city of Kansas City. Yes I know we have to take one game at a time but as a fan its fun to look ahead as to the possibilities.
CSU Pueblo came out with this cool graphic. I would like to see the game sold out! This is only the second time in school history they have made it this far.
Out of 167 D2 football teams only 8 are left and after today there will only be 4. Hopefully CSU Pueblo will be among the 4 and kickoff is at noon. I will get at the game by 11 to eat at the club house and watch the 10 am game with West Georgia versus Valdosta State to see who Pueblo will play when we win, being positive here!
I will post a few pictures after the game!
Good luck Pack representing Colorado in the playoffs!
