Service sector jobs. AKA low-pay and low-skill. Maybe a few call centers, sales and managers.

I fear you are correct mkpunk but we still need to get the liberals out of higher education and quit teaching social education and continue with basic education to not only maintain our energy grids but get back to improving our infrastructers. That will require professionals again. IMHO

leave that political stuff for the politics section of the forum. Liberals have nothing to do with higher ed. People are allowed to major in whatever they want. Its the close-mindedness of businesses and the almighty dollar which are the reasons that we dont have as many professionals. A lot of businesses could train someone with and English or Sociology degree...they just dont want to because it "costs too much"

That last part is true. The issue is what many millennials were told and are continued to be told. They are told ANY college degree leads to good paying jobs and the middle class. So say you major in English or Soc because you are told going to college earns you more money and any major works (and will prevent you from McJobs (and you are a failure if you land in these jobs.)) and now you graduate 4/5 years later and find the only jobs available are McJobs you were told you were going to college to not do. Now you wonder why millennials are "entitled." Our generational parents told us we shouldn't have to resort to it. But when we follow their logic we are wrong...

I am trying to leave political bias out but you do hear more liberals saying you need college than conservatives. Not necessarily that conservatives hate education but they just don't shove it down people's throats.
