Default Merry Christmas and a much better New Year!

M-Dog - Merry Christmas to you and your family. The same goes for the rest of you!! I still plan to make CO my retirement home - so lets hope things get much much better.

I suspected that crime would go up everywhere with the economy as bad as it is. I have neighbors that go to Naples FL every winter - they came back already after hearing horror stories from so many people from all over the US. They want to protect their home. I live in a crime-free area, but nowhere is safe. SO - I can't believe I'm saying this but I plan to get a gun for self defense and I know I will have no trouble using it.

On that note - http://bestsmileys.com/christmas4/12.gif (broken link)

That's great to know.

As my friends always mentioned when I lived in Colo Spgs; "Never get caught slippin (jacked)"
I do have a CHGL and always loaded and ready for the worst.

My glock sits either on my hip in public or on the night stand as we sleep.

In today's Colorado Springs Gazette:

Mistaken for thief, man gunned down

Quote:
A man who was out socializing Sunday evening was later dropped off at the wrong house, where a resident - believing the man was forcing his way into the house - shot and killed him. . .

"We're doing timeline work now to see what brought these people together," Whitlock said. He characterized the shooting as an "unfortunate situation" and said police will turn their investigation over to the District Attorney's Office to determine whether charges will be filed. . .
