Joss.....I'm gonna cancel that out by keeping my fingers crossed that the snowline stays above 5000 ft so I don't have to deal with it in Grand Junction. Let it rain. Let it rain.

It's snowed twice already the past few weeks on top of the Grand Mesa and on the San Juans. It may or may not get cooler here, I would love an early snow or cold snap. At least bring the daytime temps UNDER 90.

Jim...Sounds like you live in a micro climatic hot spot. The weather in Grand Junction has been almost perfect for the past month since we had our last 90 degree reading on Sept 6. The high temps for the past few weeks have been in the very comfortable range of high 70s and low 80s. Couldn't ask for more comfortable temps. Consider a move to Grand Junction.

Exclamation First snow

It looks like Pueblo could have its first snowfall of the season this weekend. It won't be much and that's ok its just nice to have snow this early in October. I hope its a sign of things to come this winter.

The forecast high today is in the low 90's then possible snow on Friday. That is why I love the weather here!

This is the forecast from the NWS in Pueblo:

  • Friday Night A slight chance of rain showers before 5am, then a slight chance of snow showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 31. East wind 10 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

  • Saturday A slight chance of snow showers before 9am, then a slight chance of rain showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 45. East wind around 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

EW, no thanks. Looking at the weather it's forecast to be in the high 60's and lows in the 20's for the weekend. That sure would be nice for a change.

Looks like the long term forecast shows above average snowfall in the Colorado mountains with an average winter for Denver:

Winter Forecast: Not Mild, But Wild for Eastern U.S.

First snow here this morning too. Thanks to this miserable summer I've never seen so many people ready for winter.
