I've been getting at least 1-2 emails from HealthCare.gov lately to remind us of the approaching enrollment deadline. However, last year we successfully enrolled in the Colorado Peak medicaid program. As someone relatively new to the medicaid program, what I'm confused due to the HealthCare.gov's incessant email reminders is: do I need to reapply for the medicaid program each year? Or do I need to apply to HealthCare.gov each year to find out whether I continue to qualify for the medicaid program? Or, once I'm in the medicaid program, I don't need to worry about reapplying until my financial circumstances change?

Thank you in advance to any of you who can shed some light on these questions.

same here (Washington Apple Care / ACA)

HealthCare.gov does not seem to know you are already enrolled in your state exchange, so they just keep reminding you to 'sign-up'. (better safe than sorry + it is a .gov, so no chance they actually know anything, or purpose to know anything (except for IRS, they know everything)).

My HealthCare.gov email and link, just forwards me to my State plan.. BTDT

Consider these email 'reminders' an American .gov contribution to "Open Enrollment". The annual USA non-productivity month for ALL participants in our failed HC system. Consider "Open Enrollment" our USA alternative to 4-6 week 'Summer Holiday' that Europe has to endure.

If you are already on the Medicaid and nothing has changed for 2020 then it should just continue. You might look on your Peak account on the website to make sure your information and income is up to date (income of less than ~$16,000 per year to stay on Medicaid).

I help out a friend (navigating his account on the website) who is on the Peak Medicaid and I assume it will just continue into 2020 for him.

I have gotten many emails reminders from Healthcare.gov also even though I have already set up my enrollment for 2020.
