The rezoning of "1000/1010 Lady Street, 1218 Park Street" was denied. The developer didn't put any plans for the property out and didnt revise his document at all.

Tomorrow we move to Brookstone whose future seems more rosy.

What was the proposal for Lady/Park? I know no renderings, but was there a public description? Don't recall this particular one.

Here is the link: http://www.columbiasc.net/depts/city...ady_street.pdf

The land is for sale now and the request has been denied each month since may. haha Kinda insanity on the land owners part. I think it's because the developer doesn't want height restrictions. They said that they will reach out to him and figure out something to build on the parcel.

Wow.. didn't know that they were even streaming them.. I wish more public meetings were streamed. That way people could tune in more for the important things. I worked for a small municipality that refused to have its meetings streamed.. in part.. because of the behavior of some of its leaders and how they treated developers/general public. If it were taped/streamed.. the likelihood of ending up on You Tube or being on CNN for an outburst or related behavior increase exponentially and I guess they didn't want to risk that.. instead of simply acting civil.... The flip side is the same.. many didn't want to be scolded or dressed down by the public and have it out there for all to see......
