There are a lot of new shops and restaurants coming to Columbia outside of downtown. This is for new retail and restaurants not currently covered in the areas that are already in the forum.
Just off the top of my head:
New Chick-fil-a coming to harbison
J.Crew and Anthropologie coming toTrenholm Plaza

Great Clips, Hobby Lobby, Vitamin Shoppe, Aspen Dental and Select Comfort recently opened across from VAS.
Palmetto Moon coming to VAS.
Panda Express is opening on Forest Dr between Shandon Baptist Church and I77 sometime soon. I haven't seen any announcement but the restaurant has nearly finished construction.
