I just thought 34000 seemed very specific. In Other news. Vision works is moving in next to Aspen Dental, More miles to go has opened in the old Coffee Beanery downtown and a bakery is opening next to Iron Bank coffee. McDonalds has started renovating the Airport Thruway location. Does anyone know what stores are planned for the Midtown Shopping Center remodel? I emailed the leasing agent and she says they have four tenants signing leases and two more in negotiation. Seems like there is definite interest in the area and Columbus as well.

It's finally opening Wednesday.

The 14th Street Pedestrian Bridge, connecting Columbus with Phenix City over the Chattahoochee River, is expected to reopen on Wednesday, October 9, 2013.

In the very same spot, the City of Columbus has plans to expand the RiverWalk near the City Mills just north of the downtown area. The plan is to connect the 14th Street Bridge and the TSYS campus with the rest of the RiverWalk.

"When folks see this, they're really going to be excited about what's happening in Columbus, and what's changing about Columbus," says City Planning Manager Rick Jones.

The area on 14th Street leading up to the bridge will be a huge plaza where a host of events can take place, and the bridge itself will be a connecting gateway for pedestrians to travel back and forth over the river.

St. Francis Hospital, moving toward completion of its largest expansion ever, will mark a major milestone Tuesday with the public debut of its new Women's Hospital.

A high-profile element of the $110 million project that has taken two years to reach this point, the hospital will be a one-stop shop for women's care.

Services will range from diagnosing breast cancer through state-of-the-art mammograms, treating infertility, scanning bone-density, doing routine checkups and -- a first for the Manchester Expressway hospital in more than three decades -- delivering babies.

Yup.

Master plan still applies it seems, look forward to this development picking up some speed. Master Plan is here: Main Street is the road out to the right, other road to the bottom is the Williams Rd. entrance (Frank Houser Avenue) http://bettyrobertsinteriors.com/oldtownmasterplan.pdf
