Off topic for the cat bar, but yeah Woolridge and Veterans was planned to be a gas station with an attached retail mini strip before the Recession put a hold on the project.

There's a real pretty stream on that lot with a little waterfall.

Land is being cleared now.

The restaurant Walk-Ons has officially been listed as coming soon on their website. Anyone have an idea where it might go? I know the first thought would be Midland Commons but that project is still a ways out so I wondered where else it would be a good fit. There’s not that many great locations left in the city. I think one of the commercial lots in fin of Old Town on veterans has sold so maybe there?

It looks like we are the 1st location in Georgia. I also see they have plans for the Auburn/Opelika area as well!

I wouldn't be surprised if Walk-Ons is apart of the Dogwood project.

Sadly, I believe the Dogwood project has stalled based on what I have heard. They stated it is under “re-development” whatever that means...

If you're going by what the website says, it has always said that. It's a cute way of saying that the project is using an already built building and is repurposing it.

I'm still waiting for the Brickyard, Phenix Rising, and The Phenixcian. Wink! Wink! And for our airport to get an additional carrier! Another Wink! Wink!

Not true. The project is moving at perfect pace. You will see the new building going up by the end of the year. The project should be
completed by early summer 2020.

I checked the links and I'm impressed with the company, and the project!!! I'm old enough to remember the Pope Company...AND the adjacent Georgia Theater, where I saw "Shane," starring Alan Ladd, when I was a kid. Now, if we could just bring back the Rialto and Bradley theaters...perhaps turning the Bradley into a multi-plex,and the Rialto into a venue for live entertainment...while maintaining the current historical facades. Surely there are credits and incentives to preserve these historical sites!
