There are Louis Vuitton stores in other areas. Somerset Collection in suburban Detroit has one. I think Frontenac Plaza in suburban St. Louis has one. These are not flagship stores, but are certainly not outlet stores either. They are plain old in-line stores.

Columbus just has a market (or Easton?) for such stores. That and Steiner and Associates know how to do leasing.

If there is a second store in Ohio, I bet it would end up being Beachwood Place over Kenwood Town Center or Downtown Cincinnati.
That's exactly what I was thinking. Louis Vuitton is definitely high end, and does not exist in every city, so if they're moving to Columbus, the company must feel like Columbus has the market for it vs some of the other large Ohio cities.

No one said Cincy and Cleveland aren't great cities. All jbcmh81 said was that Louis Vuitton felt there was a market in Columbus to put there first store in Ohio. It could've been in anyone of the three C's but LV decided on Columbus.

No hard feelings, jbcmh81, chet_kincaid, Loyal426. All I wanna be reassured of is that Bentley parking will be separate from that of John Deere.

Well, if you drive your tractor here, I'm sure there will be a spot for it.

I'm sure there will--but who has enough pesos get to Mexico City?

You're absolutely right, wrightflyer! Louis Vuitton would certainly NOT locate a second store in downtown Cincinnati--mainly because there's already one there. (101 West 5th Street in the Carew Tower Arcade)

No it means that people in Columbus will spend every last penny trying to one up their neighbor. After leaving Columbus after 10 years I realized how materialistic it is.

Maybe Louis Vuitton discovered that the plethora of "Columbus Stepford Wives" resided in the northern suburbs near Easton Town Center. (no real marketing required--like shooting fish in a barrel)
