Hi there, I live in an apartment complex in southeastern Columbus. Built 2-3 years ago and it's 2 bed 2 bath, 1100 sq ft.

I am paying usually around 100 bucks a month in the summer for water, electricity and community charges.

Last month the bill was 192 dollars for water, electricity and community charges. I use electricity for both heating and cooking.

Is this a normal amount? For 1-2 people living in the apartment? Or something fishy is going on?

My utility provider is nationwide energy partners.

Your furnace is electric? That’s much more expensive than a typical natural gas furnace.

You might be interested in reading this article. Nationwide Energy Partners is an energy reseller that contracts with apartment management companies to provide utility service. Amongst other things, the cost of electricity for common areas, exterior lighting etc. is passed along to residents. https://www.dispatch.com/article/201...NEWS/301079732
