One more thing, I am not from "outwest", I am from America. I don't claim to have any great mindset, I just happen to be about more then just myself.

Thanks for the blessings Lanc..we can never get too many of them!
IF I could JUST get my teenager to see the Mountains, I know she would love MT. Vernon and all it offers us. She LOVES snow, and she has never seen mountains!
I hope to bring her up for a visit within the next year. Hog tied if necessery!
I love adventure and I know she would love the adventure of all that is there!
I hear the fishing is fun at Kokosing river, so I will bring my pole!
Someday we will be neighbors! I look forward to living in your town!

Granville has the best schools in the Newark/Heath/Hebron area. The safest seems also to be Granville. It is small town with easy and quick ways to Newark/Heath for shopping. It is about 30 min. drive to Pickerington or Easton Mall area of Columbus. I have a home on the south side of 16 in the Granville Township and have lived here about 6 years. It is quiet and I have never had a moment when I did not feel safe. We are selling our home now as our children have moved on to other states and we want to be closer. But there are now two Walmarts and most other chains and in the Newark/Heath areas which are about a 5 to 10 minute drive away. I am not much on wild nightlife anymore so I have limited expereince there but W. Virginia is 1 1/2 hours away where you can gamble if that is your thing.

Thumbs up Columbus suburbs too far of a drive...

There are several nice neighborhoods on the west side of cambridge. Also, New Concord is 7 miles west of cambridge and sounds like a perfect fit for you. It is the home to Muskingum College, and has all a liberal arts college offers in culture, activities, etc. East Muskingum Schools are 5 stars too!

Thank You for more options in the MT. Vernon, Ohio area. I am still here in Texas protecting my turf and dreaming of MT. Vernon. I have even found a home for sale in town (strange for a country girl) but it has a very small yard to care for that I can handle. The house is a 2 story built in 1912! WOW.. the charm of this house really pulls me forward in my quest to move there.
My teenager even loves the house, but wants it to be here instead of in MT. Vernon..LOL
I plan to come up there this summer to visit and take a look around. Going to see Sipps Coffee house! So if you see a stranger in town with a cowgirl hat, please stop and say hi, or howdy!
Best Wishes to All.....Mary
