I should have done this immediately but of course I procrastinated because I could sort of limp along....now I don't remember exactly what I did.
For some reason I toyed with my screen settings. When I did a lot of internet sites look a lot...whiter...are missing both text and pictures.
Like on here, I don't see my Star or little green box for rep points.
At the time I did go back in an try to get back to what I had but.....was unsuccessful.
Which browser are you using? It sounds like you simply need to reset your browser to its default settings. Let me know which one you're using, and I'll try to help you out.
You messed with the screen settings on your monitor (by using buttons on the monitor iteself?), or did you mess with the display settings (by using control panel or other driver options)?
Monitor itself, look for "factory defaults" or similar.
I'm a tad confused...is the OP talking about monitor settings? I kinda got the impression that it had something to do with the browser settings due to the fact that she can no longer see some text and graphics, such as the rep points star/green box.
No apology necessary. Just want to be sure I'm not taking you in the wrong direction. In Windows Control Panel, click on the Display icon. Which version of Windows do you have?
So basically what you're saying is that you went into a Control Panel applet, diddled around with some settings, and now everything seems whiter and you can't see text or graphics properly...is that correct?
Is this happening only when you're on the internet, or does it affect everything you're doing on the computer? The reason I'm asking is because if it only affects the internet, then it has nothing to do with your monitor settings.
Plus...have you tried opening Internet Explorer to see if you're still having the same problems?
P.S. I'm not trying to string you along on this.....I'm honestly trying to figure out where you should look on your computer to fix this.
