I know they have programs that recover deleted files. Anybody have recommendations? I deleted a few folders of pictures by mistake. They are of a past vacation so the photos are priceless. Willing to pay the fee for the program but want to make sure I get my moneys worth. I do back up all pictures but for some reason a few files never got backed up at the time.

Any suggestions?

Are you saying you deleted them and also emptied the recycle bin/ trash can?
If not, they'll be in there, available to restore.

I've always used this in the past but it's been while and apparently this hasn't been updated for a while:

PC Inspector - kostenlose Software fr die Datenrettung von CONVAR - Die Datenretter.

One thing to be aware about here, if they were removed from the recycle bin the more you use the comouter the more likely they will get overwritten and not be recoverable. Once you remove from the recycle bin that space on the disk is available to be written to with other data. For example browsing the internet or downloading and installing that software could cause them to be overwritten. The best course of action is to turn off the computer, disconnect the drive and connect it to another PC. Download that software onto the other PC.

Stop using your computer and find someone to do it for you it'll should cost no more than $150. Software can be cheap but if you don't use it correctly it will make getting the files back impossible.
