Hi, I'm looking for a reasonably priced (but decent) studio or one bedroom in either west hartford or hartford, preferably fairly close to public transportation. Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm hoping to spend less than 800 - preferably around 600. Thanks for any assistance!

Yeah, the West End near Farmington Ave. is pretty much going to be your only option in a reasonably safe neighborhood. There might be something in Elmwood, but it'll be the size of a shoebox. Where do you need to go via public transit -- downtown Hartford, or somewhere else? It's tough to find cheap one-bedroom housing -- living alone always costs more.
