We lived in CT several years ago and would like to return. We've been looking at the Milford area online trying to get a "feel" for the town and would like to know specifically if it is possible to find reasonable rental housing there (2 to 3 bedroom for under $1,500) and if there are any part time jobs available. I'm 65 and retired and would be coming with my daughter and 3 year old granddaughter. I need to have some supplemental income, but don't need to work full time anymore. How are the preschools, how expensive, and what are the public schools like as she'll be in kindergarten in a couple years. We currently live in Bend, Oregon. Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Check craigslist.com for rentals in Milford. you should find something for that amount but I would not expect a lot. Milford is a major regional shopping area so there are many retail stores. Part time jobs should be available. The schools in Milford are good but I am not sure how pricey preschool is there. Jay
