I, for one, am glad to see you totally mis-forecasted this one. I'm sick of the snow and ready for the warm weather. Cheers!

Wow, didn't Gil Simmons say 4 to 9 inches of snow, this morning, today, and tonight?

So far the roads are only wet here? I was in work early this morning and I just got out about an hour ago. Did I miss the snowstorm? Did it melt already????

Woke up to a Nice little surprise. Snow on everything except the roads. How did you guys do? 2 inches not counting the 1/2" that melted from yesterday evening. Currently 29 degrees.

Pretty much half my total forecast... I said nobody would get more than 5 inches.... then explained the cut in half totals last night and we end up with 2.5" .. Did anyone get over 3"??

A lot of meterologists said 2-4 lower CT & 4-6" Northern CT..... EVEN NWS (National Weather Service)...They were'nt too far off.... Gotta follow NWS if you want accurate and conservative. I'm glad I stuck with my own not going more than 5"..

Well, that was fun.... Moving on.. Spring is coming.(After April 4th) See you in the weather thread..

Yes, it was a heck of a "snowstorm"...wet roads and a slushy inch of snow (lol). Gil Simmons strikes again! I guess the fact that we didn't have and snow for the last 5 weeks made him look for that 99 yard pass (lol). Gotta love weather hype.

Yes, I saw Gil Simmons say this morning that the reason we didn't get as much snow as he predicted was because the storm stayed to the south of us. Meanwhile other forecasters such as Scott Haney had predicted far less amounts. I guess Gil is feeling a little embarrassed today! But I am glad this storm was a non-event, I think we got maybe 2" and it's already melting.

Not sure why people listen to this Gill Simmons character..how he still has a job is beyond me...I never saw or heard about him but Im not sure why people even listen or mention him.. So many out there call it right but of course in the end you never win with mother nature. :-)

Thats why I titled this "winter storm" and not "snowstorm" :-)

Just a coating "East of the River" south of Hartford. No big deal.

Thanks for the report. Definetly an underperformer.. That High Pressure was too strong so it sheared it a little.

... calling 1 inch of snow on grassy surfaces and wet roads a "storm"...might be a bit of a spin (lol)...

In any event, the extended forecast looks sunny and dry for the next 7 days or so with highs in the 40's . By next week, we should see the block break down and a moderation as temps get warmer. Overall the pattern looks pretty dull.
