Correct, and I have not read all the posts. I grew up in Milford, now live near Nashville, but I'm here for a Christmas visit. The expressions of shock I saw in the last hour at the Westfield Mall were incredible, and I feel the same "can't believe this" as they do.

The "why", "how" it happened, etc, are not material at this time.

I'm reminded of what I thought was Rudy Giuliani's most appropriate line on 9/11, when asked to speculate on the death toll, he said simply "More than any of us can bear".

I am so sorry.

I'm a Mom, and my sons are in school right now as I sit at my desk literally crying after seeing the news coverage...my heart hurts. There are not words.

We in Colorado will also be praying for those injured, those killed, the families, the school and the community. Much love to you in this terrible time.

What in the world would make a person snap like this? Killing one of your parents and then 18 kids and countless others AND THEN killing yourself? I hate people sometimes.

So incredibly tragic, I am saddened to my core.
To the residents of Connecticut, and the community of this school, words cannot cover it, I am so truly sorry to hear this news. Thoughts and love coming to you all from from St Louis, and also representing my home state of Cali. Collective hands reaching across the states to you all....

In my opinion this is the face of pure selfish ruthless evil. Regardless of whatever faith or religion any person is....this to me defines evil. This person does not deserve to walk amongst humans. Unfortunately there are more of them that walk amongst us daily. The key is figuring out how to prevent them from this type of destruction.

Disgusting.

May God ease the pain of these victims.
