According to this study, Connecticut ranks 8th in innovation in the country. I know the state is one of the leaders per capita for patients so this was not surprising. Jay

Electric Boat has presented plans for an $850 million expansion of its Groton facility. Part of the submarine builders plan for a massive expansion here in southeastern Connecticut. Great to see one of our largest employers making such a big commitment to our state. . Jay

A lack of available skilled workers is one of the reasons CT companies are lukewarm about state's economic future.

The state needs to put more money towards the skill trades. When I graduated High School in the early 2000s the tech ed department at my high school was gutted and replaced with an art section...

Guess where the money is now...

I certainly agree with that. If the people in the cities keep voting in the same politicians how does the rest of CT make the cities greater? That's the dilemma.

Was having a talk what if New Haven stayed the Capital. Could have a working port that also was a tourist attraction
Ferry to Long Island. Probably East and West Haven would of been absorbed by New Haven. Probably havhave a waterfront area with a walking path and tourist shops. Train access to the City. Art museum in addition to other museums in the City. Have Yale. Then probably an outdoor outlet mall. Then Tweed be what Bradley is today. Then a baseball stadium, music venue, and sports arena in the City.

This is what Hartford should focus on. Needs to clear up empty spaces and vacant lots. Hartford is like a Checker Board of attractions and heavily trafficked highway's runninh through it.
