Potential personal income and business surcharge tax cuts on the table. Lamont mentioned his primary focus for 2023 is economic growth per the linked article.

Indie or local chains: Dockside, Bridge House, I Love Pho, Chip’s, Gusto’s, Bin 100, Bar 333, Prime 16, Plan B, Lasse’s, OLA, Baja’s, Bridgeport Flyer, Lin’s Kitchen, Coromandel, Thai Spice, Momo, Lao Sze Chuan…. And I could go on and on.

Even in the mall, there’s local sit down options.

The non-national chain sit downs outnumber by a huge amount
Don't forget Duchess!

Lamont is just posturing to tack on to his already legendary mythical hero status among the CT populace. Any income tax cut will be minimal, we all know this. CPI, food and energy are through the roof, not sure a small tax cut for the <150K sect will move the needle much.

Yes, but there are always more local Indy's than national chain Big Sit Downs just about everywhere, that's almost a given. In SW CT though, Big Sit Down is more prevalent in Milford than just about anywhere else in the State. In the general area, Danbury and White Plains also. In Stamford, Cheesecake and Changs didn't make it. I wouldn't be surprised if Yard House was next on the chopping block.

Correct. Lamont knows and loves the fact the radical left legislature will allow no tax cuts, despite a massive surplus. They want to and will spend it.

Glad to see the environmentally unsound Contract Plating in Stratford site, abandoned 27 years ago, was given a grant for remediation.

Milford only has 2 (Chili’s and BWW), so I’m not sure where you’re getting that from. There will be a 3rd with PF. Danbury definitely has more, by a wide margin. Milford is outnumbered by many towns for chains in CT.

Also I have been to many strip mall areas outside the northeast where the chains outnumber everything.

In south Jersey where I go to the race tracks, it’s chain central.

Oh come on now. The Democrats have resisted spending our surpluses in favor of paying down our pension debts. You have to give Lamont credit for that. Now the tax cuts are the next step. Jay

You are forgetting Dave & Buster’s, Chipolte and Panera which are in Milford. I also think people tend to lump Orange with Milford. It has TGI Fridays, IHOP and Olive Garden. Jay

The tax cuts are the big step; not spending more is a low ceiling.
