Boston is in the middle of the state. Hence why so much of Massachusetts benefits from its proximity to the centrally located capital. And the city has really made great strides and development over the past couple of decades. That is why I'd love to see Hartford follow suit and take a page of Boston's play book. A well developed and prosperous centrally located Hartford would have an immense impact on the overall state.

NYC, Boston, and CT all benefitted from location. It's where the Pilgrims first settled. They knew exactly what the hell they were doing.

Initially CT beneffitted from NYC access but it has since developed it's own identity and prosperity. There is just no way to dispute this. This is a fact that is undeniable in every conceivable way.

Other than a weekend getaway or Red Sox fans going to a game, Boston has had little to no effect on CT. This also is an indisputable fact that cannot be denied.

Payment tech firm moving to Shelton

The latest is a payments technology company, Refined Payments, which will be relocating its corporate headquarters to 1 Corporate Drive. Refined Payments, founded in 2019, inked the long-term lease earlier this year with R.D. Scinto.

Refined Payments is presently located in New Rochelle, N.Y. Lou Kathrakis, the company's CEO, said his firm will be leasing about 2,300 square feet in the Scinto building.

Kathrakis called Shelton the “clear choice" for a location in the state due to its infrastructure, access to workers and proximity to New York and Boston.

There are a growing number of highly innovative companies in Shelton, and we are very pleased to join them," he said.

The new space will have amenities including a gym, café, media room and teleconferencing area.

Decent news. 2,300 sq feet means a handful of staff will be there.

I heard through grapevine that a few companies might be lined up to take over the Milford space.

Heard FCP Euro in Milford was considering it.
They are growing quickly. Opened up a distribution center in AZ to better serve the west coast.
