I am going to some event in Danbury and need to be in Trumbull the next day, rather than driving 150+ miles back and forth I will look for a place to stay for one night... anyone know of any safe places that are cheap?

I am sure the prices in Danbury would be the cheaper than the Trumbull area but there are some hotels/motels on Bridgeport Avenue in Shelton that would be very safe and less expensive than the Trumbull/Fairfield area. Don't let the name of the street (Bridgeport Ave.) make you think it is not safe because it is a very safe area. There is a Marriot Hotel in Trumbull but I think it is very expensive.

There is also a section of Bethel (between Newtown and Danbury) on route 6 that has motels. That is a very safe area also.

Maybe others can suggest places in Danbury that are reasonable and in a safe areas.

Laquinta in Danbury is nice. Pretty reasonable price. Its next to the outback steakhouse. Lots of dining nearby too. Very close to the highway.

I haven't been posting lately, but i'll make an exception for this question.

Just east of Trumbull, i can vouch for Shelton Hotel | HYATT house | Hotels in Shelton.

They usually have great rates during the weekend(compared to other hotels in CT).

well I live in West Hartford, and if I went to Danbury, went back and then Trumbull the next day that would probably be over 150 miles total

but the thing in trumbull I ended up not going to so it doesn't matter now haha

If you have this in the future, America's Best Value Inn in Danbury off exit 5 on I-84 is a good inexpensive option.
