Granted I am not in one of the lower 4 counties but as I look out my window in Hartford County...it is pouring! No fire danger here. EDITED TO ADD: I am an idiot. I see now the warning is for Thursday, not today!

But even so--- we are not precip starved YTD. I doubt 1 very dry day with winds poses a meaningful fire risk. I still have the spring time streams running in places that are dry except during this thaw season. Warning seems suspect.

Never expected a cold damp day with temps in the 40s at noon! Quite a chill after the last 2 days.

The weather looks pretty crappy well into next week besides tomorrow. Tonight's lows are the 20's and 30's.

Highs barely above 60, cloudy with very little sun, rain and drizzle with lows in the 30's and 40's.

LOW CONFIDENCE BUT PATTERN MAY TURN UNSEASONABLY COOL AND SHOWERY AT TIMES.

Cam, just a simple question:
When is it going to feel like Spring? Lol. 65-70 consistent temps?

lol. I think we've been spoiled (or hurting) in recent years. We really haven't been well below or well above this Spring. I think it's how Spring should be. Normal High is "now" 60° so that means upper 50s and low 60s is pretty normal.

As far as when we'll see constant 65-70, don't worry, soon. Usually mid May. Sensitive plants & Veggies usually don't out until then because night and daytime temps don't support it.

Normal high temp of 70 doesn't happen until end of May

Here's a stat for you.

Number of days hitting 70° or warmer in May in recent years for Bridgeport

2007: 14
2008: 13
2009: 9
2010: 21
2011: 10
2012: 15
2013: 10

So you can see we have gotten about half or less of May hitting it so 60s should be the theme going into May too.

But now using your 65-70..

Number of days hitting 65° or warmer in May in recent years for Bridgeport

2007: 26
2008: 19
2009: 18
2010: 22
2011: 21
2012: 24
2013: 17
