still only 28 in Danbury..that warm air really struggled to get in this storm. I wonder if ocean temps are below normal because of all the cold we have had and that is why it didn't really have a great impact?

I have about 6-7 inches here in the Springfield Ma area. No ice to speak of and it is still in the low 20's outside. I unfortunately had to go out at 6 to clear the driveway for a 7a.m. hockey game.

Man, no sun and temps not getting above freezing here, the ice is still on the trees. I hope there's no wind coming. This is the one time I hope the sun comes out.

Nice Winter scene though.

Sun was poking out of the clouds a few hours ago in Danbury. I hope it comes back to get rid of some ice. It looks like I will need to shovel if it isn't going to melt on its own . Deep freeze tonight will make everything solid ice again.

I'm not sure how much we got here, maybe 6 inches? It's got a thin layer of ice over it though, so it's not quite as light and fluffy as it was last night...my bulldog is not pleased about this and not happy about walking through it lol. At one point he just stopped and would not go any further and gave me a look like "....please come get me...."

Down here in Wavehunter's " banana belt" it all turned to monsoon rain last night. Washed most of the snow away. Couple inches of slushy snow left. Our plower came to clear the driveway in the wee hours. Warmed up enough that we didn't even need to salt the driveway this AM to remove any left over snow/slush. It's bone dry on its own.

Well above freezing, sun was out until a half hour ago. Had maybe 4-5" or so before the rains began last night.

Back from VT.
Location: Est. 20Min from Canadian Border (Jeffersonville).
Snow: Started around 7pm last night very light. Became steady throughout the night. All snow, no rain. They got about 7-8" of fluffy snow. Very light.
Roads up that way suck. Thank goodness for my lifted F-250 (even though I didn't use 4x4 once thanks to off-road tires. It didn't help we were in the middle of nowhere. Snow here seems heavier.

Glad to be back in good ole' CT.

Sidenote: today feels like summer compared to yesterday. Went out at 7a yesterday and it was -4. Today was 19.

6 " seems like the number around my house. Got up,shoveled my space real quick and all is well. Very manageable storm to me. Like I have said in previous posts, I dislike snowstorms especially when they are during the workweek......but weekend storms are fine with me. I dont have to work and travel in it and dont mind being snowed in.
