Been a while since we talked about a strong storm.

Wind driven rains? We'll see. Technically a Nor'Easter? Has to be off the coast so we'll see. 1-2 feet of snow above 4000'? Possible. Snow & Ice for nothern CT? We'll see. Power outages? We'll see. High winds? We'll see. Coastal flooding? We'll see.

Pattern change coming East of Mississippi after this NorEaster.

No more warmish/seasonable days. Looks like Cold & seasonable with snow showers everywhere and of course a snowstorm if it can develop somewhere.

Bottom line... Jet is dipping in the East starting mid next week and looks to be staying for at least a week. Beyond that is unknown...

So maybe we shouldn't call it a pattern change just yet. Lets just call it "A Change".

Ugh, I don't want cold arctic air anymore this winter. Come on.

Actual temp departures for each Spring since 2011. (March 1 - May 31)

I hate using 3 month averages because it doesn't show a true result of what happens with ups and downs or extremes ect or even a majority of what was happening..

Anyway -- Temp Departures.

Connecticut had a slightly below normal Spring 2013, 2014, 2015. Wow at 2012

Precip Departures. Ohio Valley and Northeast hasn't really had a good wet spring since 2011.

One more month and meteorological winter 2016/2017 is history! Bring on spring and those 70's and 80's!
poor guy..

So looks like winds pick up Sunday night. Strongest will be during day Monday. Dies down Monday night.

These winds will be accompanied with rain. Will feel like a Spring Nor'Easter and many people will be saying... "Imagine if there was cold air around and this was all snow" Would of been a Blizzard.
