I have no regrets. There is life after FFC. Can't wait to leave this pit!

As for Charlotte, I just thought it was too southern/conservative cultured for me. Columbus will also be somewhat of a culture shock too, but it's not nearly as bad as Charlotte. I'm willing to acknowledge it and adjust to it over time.

The key here is that I'm aware of all the pros, cons and surprises that await me in Columbus. I'm willing to overlook them and adapt, because OVERALL, it seems to be a good fit for me.

Yup. Last day in CT is June 29th, when I hit the road.

Best of luck. I fully agree you made a good decision. 3.8% unemployment in Columbus, terrific GDP growth.

2 offers very quickly after not getting close in Ct.

You would have been stupid to pass this up.

Well that's good. With that attitude you have a good chance. Good luck.

Day after my birthday.

Decisions arent always easy to make but once you do make one stick with it, I made a decision not to go with Ford and i almost second guessed it but glad i didnt cause i just got placed in Audi Veterans to Technicians Program, start a week from Monday at Audi/Volkswagen/Porsche, had i second guessed my Ford decision i would have made a bad decision.

Today was basically my last recreational day in CT, so I decided to go for a hike at Devil's Hopyard in East Haddam....one of my favorite nature spots. It's a beautiful area in a beautiful state filled with....pessimistic people.

Then that's good. Because I think before you were too focused on perfection. You have to be willing to accept the trade-offs.

For someone so interested in gay communities and gay PDA, I'm surprised Columbus was the furthest west you looked. Austin, Denver, Portland, San Fran, and Seattle are much more gay friendly. The difference is exponential.
