One candidate wants to create a 5.1% flat income tax, in 4 yrs or less a flat corporate tax 6.5% or lower, abolish estate/gift tax, and do away with taxes on social security & pension. That's from Handler.

Do like how Herbst wants to do away taxing income $75,000 or less.

With transportation know Handler wants to create a CIB. The Bank is State Owned and can only be touched for infrastructure needs. Had a high number wanting the bank to reach in 10 years I think close to $400 billion. Laid out important infrastructure plans. Also thibk he spoke about wanting to expand runway lengths to encourage more flights.

Talks about cities a lot in the action plan created. Handler wants to privatize lots of areas within the Government and privatize a lot of State run benefits.

Big proponent of protecting the environment.

Wants to create jobs by doing away with businesses regulations created in the State over the course of 4 year's.

CT in the top 5 for all......WINNING. Now why in the world would I want to change to no state income tax. So Wall Street's 1% in CT can buy another house and boat?

Mike Handler plan for the State
& Steve Obstinik plan: https://www.steveobsitnik.com/issues...&utm_source=AD

Both seem very similar. However, Handlers' seems to have a better outline and plan. Though may be a car salesman when touting himself still plan to vote for him on his action plan for the State.

People really should check it out this man seems like he can do a lot for the State!

I read thru both of their outlines and they - and the people who wrote them are insane. If one of these two were elected I'd be surprised if they could get even one item from those outlines accomplished.

At least they have an outline though which is a lot more than other candidates have.

That s the biggest issue. They have the right plans and motivation to bring the necessary change to this State. That's just it. Very little I feel could be done. The State feels it's policies and legislation is directed by Unions and entrenched political parties.

Still going to vote for Handler and hope for change. All you can do sometimes. Voting gives you power and a say.

Well with Healthcare we have a lot of great facilities and medical research facilities in the State.

However, the health services in the State are heavily taxed and usually hit hard by not receiving Medicaid/Medicare funds. Losing a lot of money over the years, limiting hiring at health services, and aising patient care cost think heard by 17%.

If we look at mental health services in the State DMHAS has taken a huge slash in funds and had to reduce its services. Though they have a huge hiring going on so that's a plus.

Having millionaires in the State is great and all. Helps drive up the economy. Again high income isn't really that great. CT has a very large wage gap. Middle class has shrunk and is no existent in CT.

I can’t believe they went for Joe Markley for Lt Governor. Markley publically came out against the busway with a lot of wrong information on it. He is one of the politicians who opposed its construction after years of planning and design. He calls it Malloys project yet it was conceived under Rowland and designed and funded under Rell. Malloy just allowed it to be constructed. If he did not it would have meant the loss of hundreds of millions of long awaited Federal Transit funds plus would have wasted millions of Connecticut taxpayers dollars.

Where was he during all of the meetings and hearings held during the planning of it? To bring this up now is just ignorant and pandering to voters.

He also claims that it cost taxpayers thousands of dollars per rider when simple math shows it is no more than any other mass transit in our state. Does he promote the elimination of Metro North or Shoreline East? Does he not want to begin service on the New Haven-Hartford-Springfield line? These cost millions to operate and do not pay for themselves. Newsflash Mr. Markley, mass transit does not pay for itself. That is why they are pubically owned and operated. I will NOT be voting for him. Sorry but someone like this should not be Lt Governor. He is a very poor choice and just another reason why the Republican Party fails in this state. Jay
