Pouring over the Adirondacks. It's coming.

It is not 67 in Hartford but it is close to or over 60. I am right near there and that (60) is what I am reading on the thermometer. Jay

Figured. Thanks for confirming.

My backyard temp and dews. Went from struggling past teens & 20s with a blizzard to now almost 60° and raining hard.. Dews in upper 50s, very high for January.

Fog is thick in spots. Goodbye snowpack

That is interesting! I think there's an archived view online though. How about this one?

Why is major snow done for season? This is La Niña, with frequent warm-ups as well as cold waves.

A few inches moving in for Tuesday?

BTW, this might be one helluva flash freeze Saturday afternoon. Winter Weather Advisories already up for northern counties. It's not every day you get a winter weather advisory for somethin' like that.

Of course you can get it online. This data came straight from the satellite at his home as it passed overhead. Not as convenient as getting it online, but still really fun to do.

Decided to go outside during heavy rain to check on things....

One...

Two....

Three..

Saw this and was like oh man.. Ice jam backing up the underground water drain pipe.

Tis the season....but its not mud season yet.

Sinking with each step

See my boot? How about the umbrella?

I gave up holding it, luckily was warm enough to just get soaked while I fixed it.

I ripped that black pipe out enough to curve it away from the house, was still pouring out minutes after.

Add it to my project list for Spring

Instantly I miss the Arctic stuff. Bring back the 0s and Blizzards please!

1/2" of rain in 30 minutes!! Rapid Snow melt. Had 2-4" snowpack just few hours ago. Temp 55°F

58 for New Britain's 06052 at last check. Poured for half of my walk home from work in the 4 pm hour today. I wonder how much rain we actually got so far? The only thing I can check is NOAA and the numbers for Brainard Airport.

It was 59 degrees on my drive from Wallingford to Torrington. Had the window down the entire time. Beautiful night out. Rain even stopped halfway there.
