There are people who shouldn't travel. And then there are those who don't let mishaps ruin their time away. Since you know your mother has IBS, it stands to reason you would bring along her medication. When we travel, especially on a cruise, I bring every medication we might need. I am so thankful when the "Meds bag" - small toiletries bag - doesn't get open. It takes me 5 minutes to pack it; nothing to have it with us. There is one in the car for when we take driving trips. Not everywhere has stores open 24/7.

Never leaving NY again...I'm guessing you mean NYC, because there are many places in the state where there is no 24/7 urgent care or pharmacy. You might be one of those for whom travel is not a good plan.

You seem to have a lot of issues with the southeastern part of Connecticut based on your past posts complaining about the casinos there. You might be better off just staying in New York from now on as you suggest.

I can assure you that the medical care in Connecticut is just as good as New York. I know of no one that has had issues like you describe and I have family that live in the Mystic area. Again sorry you had this problem but I assure you it is not wide spread. Jay
