I believe I heard all CT parks/beaches are free for residents of the state. Does this mean Hammonaset and others will be full before noon on an even more regular basis?

I highly doubt this, but more likely due to the high temps forecast for tomorrow the state may have made beaches free. In an effort to help people keep cool. That's my best guess.

No way CT would forgo potential revenue otherwise IMO.

I think they included free access to state parks for Ct residents with by putting $ into the registration renewal.

It’s called Park Passport. They tack $10 bucks onto registrations and make state parks free. We own a home on the shore and it has been dead for the past two weeks. My thinking is that this has to do with it. Makes me happy, less people is always better.

Yes, with the "Passport to Parks" program, you pay an extra $10 every two years via your vehicle registration. In turn, your CT license plate gets you free admission to any state park, anytime.
