I mean, I understand the sentiment, but citizens vote for politicians. They don’t hold power without consent. If a party cannot get power From majority vote it can be related to institutional issues but generally means The view points and positions are unpopular and either antiquated or too progressive for the time.

Well, I gotta say that I am a very strong conservative republican, so I support neither and really do not like both. However, with that said, Ned Lamont is not nearly as bad as Malloy was and he is a moderate democrat. I work part time in politics, and I can say that Lamont is one of the better democratic governors we've got in the country. I really disagree with the majority of his policies, and feel that we need a republican governor (not sure when we might get that next time), but one thing I do give credit to Lamont for is that I do believe he is listening to the people of CT in many ways. CT is a highly democratic state, so the majority of the state will not have the same opinions as I do, but I do think there is a lot of truth in that he is putting the state first and listening to the people.

Lamont definitely isn't one of those strong far left liberal governors that look for power and used the pandemic to their advantage like: Newsom (CA), Wolf (PA), Whitmer (MI), Cuomo (NY), and Brown (OR).

I'll tell you this, I'm glad we had Lamont through this crisis rather than Malloy. Can you imagine what Malloy would have been like during the pandemic? He would be screaming at us to wear our masks and would be whining to the media that people weren't listening to him.

Lamont is like a breath of fresh air in comparison to Malloy (and I'm a Republican).

It's true that Lamont hasn't been as offensive as those other governors that you mentioned. I am glad for that.
