Nothing in Middletown/Cromwell. Just rain. (Thank goodness!)

Interesting for Sunday! Storm comes from Ohio valley then redevelops off the coast and heads NE. Will it be cold enough for snow? Right now only looks marginal so I'm guessing it's gonna be a cold rain with snow above 1500'?

All models agree.

GFS-Candian on Top
German-Euro on Bottom.

Canadian the furthest track away we get nothing.

We need some interaction with the northern Jet Stream

There now appears to be enough separation between the former system
and an opening up southern branch closed low over the Mid
Mississippi Valley, that a frontal wave develops along the front and
tracks near or just south of the area Saturday night into Sunday
morning. There will likely be several iterations of this as we go
forward in time due to possible interaction with northern branch
shortwave energy. Some phasing and a more north and west track would
seem likely. Based on the current forecast, the area would be on the
cold side of the track, but airmass is marginally cold
with perhaps
a chance of rain or wet snow mixed in across the interior and rain
at the coast. This system looks to be progressive enough at this
time for liquid equivalent amounts to be half inch or less.

Update:

Bridgeport Nov 1-19 is 2nd Coldest but I was curious what Nov 2012 looked like since its a Top 10 also.

Looks like we had 50s & 60s then and a snowstorm which helped with the anomaly those days.

So this year it's just cold which makes it more impressive. #NoBreaks

I was curious what the record max was for Bridgeport for todays date.. 32° in 1951. WOW.

I looked back at the maps... The wonky Jet stream was waving so all the cold air was over us..

Chances there'll be snow on the ground on Dec. 17??

Raw data suggest 37.5% chance of >1" at 6am. Let's see if 2019 gets lucky.

Cam, I hear of a pattern change where the west will recieve cold & storms. Will we get them before/during the middle of next month?
