Gust front moved through Newtown earlier today. Surprisingly windy, there were even power outages up there. Unexpected!

That's not good. I'm hanging out in Central Ohio this week...and starting from this past Monday, they are forecasting a 13 consecutive day stretch > 90 F here. Plus dewpoints in the mid 60s. At least in New England we got the rain we needed.

Loop last 4hrs. I'm in the middle again.

BTW -- 4th day in a row this region has seen thunderstorms coming from "THE NORTH" Not too common getting a northerly flow in Summer and with T-Storms.

At 4pm I was speaking on the phone with a friend in Northampton, MA and she said it was pouring.

Here in central CT it's overcast but if the weather is coming from the north, I guess we can expect rain.

I was at WestFarms Mall this afternoon. A thunderstorm went by for a few minutes. Little did I realize that Hartford got slammed with over two inches of rain. Meanwhile, it doesn't look like much fell on Farmington Avenue in Berlin...yet.

That cell is very electrically active. Lightning maps is impressive, looks like the bulk of it will just miss to the south. As usual.
