Euro12z today. This is where Litchfield County might miss out on the bulk of it just from the track.

Snow starts Sunday night. Light Monday morning. Picks up in the afternoon and evening and carrys over into Monday night. Digging out Tuesday morning.

Snowfall totals from this run. Nothing crazy for us but a nice size storm

Look what the NAM does. The snow will have happened already but Tuesday morning brings the storm closer to the coast and the freezing line at 5000' is north of the Merritt.

Can never be easy but you have to be near the rain snow line to get the heaviest totals. plus its cold enough before this. Problem is having a mix sleet or rain after 6+" of snow. UGH!!!!!!!

NAM12z data for Danbury and Hartford, CT. Over 24hrs of snowfall. Not heavy rates every hour but over 1.25"qpf. Heaviest snow should be Monday afternoon and through the evening

If ratios will be 10:1. Multiple the precip by 10. I think they might be 12:1 at some points in the storm.

Here's the loop Monday 1am to Tuesday 7pm.

To avoid bad roads, what time does a friend who lives near Plainfield, NJ need to be home by Sunday? She will be with me in Milford in a few hours, staying overnight.

I figured I'd ask my favorite weather forecaster. No one matches your knowledge I can talk to.

Its got that look!

Usually when Chicago gets a snowstorm warm air pushes north into the Northeast and we get a rain storm..... not this time. Too cool.

Storm Center is over Missouri right now. Tornados in southern part
