November has been interesting. We had September weather in November and January weather in November.

8pm and it feels like teens in some areas of the state. NUTS!

Another day struggling past 30s

We're actually colder than where there is a fresh deep snowpack. Lake Erie must be on fire.

November will end up above normal but the anomalous warmth from beginning of month has been erased going from widespread 6-10 above normal to now just 0-4 above.

Here's Bridgeports data this month and you can see why...

Lets talk...…………………………..

This is the NAO index. It's an indicator that shows "North Atlantic" pattern. When its negative that means there is Blocking High Pressure over Greenland. When there is blocking high it slows the pattern down in North America and it allows cold air and the Jet stream to dig south more.

Take a look at where its forecasted to go. Near -2. That's deeply negative! The last time it was that negative DURING A WINTER month was...………………….. December 2010...….. Do you guys remember what happened????????????????

It was Memorable for us in CT especially at the coast.

We had a Blizzard every 2 weeks with Norluns and Clippers in between..

Dec. 26, 2010 (14" Blizzard)
Jan 7, 2011 (5" Norlun)
Jan 12, 2011 (16" Blizzard)
Jan 21 4"
Jan 25 2"
January 27, 2011 (19" Blizzard)

It was nuts getting 60 inches of snow in 4 weeks near the coast here! Rare!! Double the Avg snowfall.

This is not a prediction or forecast, I'm simply stating history when the NAO was that much negative. Interesting time MIGHT be ahead started Mid December
