After some slight showers tonight (small chance), rest of week looks sunny with mild temps. I think everyone will be happy with the weather:
No doubt Wave....

While that is true overall, don't forget December 16/17 , 2020. 8 inches of snow at Bridgeport and 13 inches at Bradley. Also, keep in mind the mean data of the first 1 inch of snowfall at least at NWS Bridgeport is after mid month.

Looking around CT as of 1 PM at weather conditions:

Regional Weather Roundup
National Weather Service New York NY
100 PM EDT TUE OCT 17 2023

Looking ahead according to the NWS....

SHORT TERM /WEDNESDAY THROUGH THURSDAY/...
The upper trough finally starts to lift NE early Wednesday with
building heights through the short term period. At the surface, high
pressure will continue to build into the region, which will remain
over the area through Thursday. Overall, looking at sunny conditions
both Wednesday and Thursday, with gradual warming both days. Expect
highs on Wednesday in the lower to middle 60s. On Thursday, expect m
middle to upper 60s. Can not rule out a few 70 degree readings
in and around the NJ/NYC metro area for Thursday. Lows Wednesday
night will be in the 40s and lower 50s. Once again, can not
rule out a few upper 30s at the normally cooler locations.

Todays Max temp of 64° at Bridgeport is exactly what the normal is for the day.

So that means.... Past 10 days ONLY 2 days have been above normal with the max temp.

At the moment, it appears we've got one chance for significant frost in the area before November

Next Tuesday morning is the best shot...especially interior areas

Warmup coming but looks short lived.

This animation is showing the temperatures at 5000'. Blues = very cold. Yellows/oranges = very warm

Notice nothing is really sustained. Warm Oct 26-29 then back to reality.
