Snowfall total reports. Problem is, people weren't up at midnight measuring before it changed over. They measured this morning when it all compacted. I would add 1-2" to some of these totals for the real amount that fell

Southern half of CT underperformed.
Northern half seems like it was on target.

Moving on.

Look at those ratios! Horrible.

Coming down at a decent clip here NW of Boston (near Rt 3 & I-95). I'm guessing about 5" so far at my location? Expecting "comma head" snow to continue into this afternoon.

Because what is was like at midnight was irrelevant for 99 percent of people.

I decided it to snowblow about 3 hours ago but it looks like another couple of inches have come down since then. Looking outside it's coming down pretty hard. I'm off Jarvis St in Cheshire

Looks like some inland areas in southern CT got 3.0 inches (Durham, North Haven)....to mostly less than an inch along the coast. Coastal southeast CT (our banana belt) looks like most 0 to 0.3. Here in Saybrook some wet snow and rain, have about 0.5 on north side of house. For the big cities, Bridgeport got 3.0 and Stamford 3.5 inches, but no report from New Haven.

Across northern CT....West Hartford had 10 inches...Canton 9.5 are highest I saw. Looks like Bradley International Airport got 8. 2 inches. 6 inches in some parts of far NW CT and 6 inches in some parts of far NE CT.

I'm surprised they didn't have Danbury in that report.

At least here...NW Boston suburbs...I have to say that the NWS BOX nailed the forecast amounts. Including the storm duration. Still getting it here at a good clip!

They are reporting Danbury with 4 inches and Bethel with 2.5 inches. New Haven reported 2.1 inches and NYC (CP) 0.2 inches.

As a side note...the final rain/snow shield is pulling east fast through far eastern CT. So most of Connecticut and Long Island are done with the storm. Sun is coming out in NYC and White Plains now. So if temps can stay above freezing for just a few hrs and the sun/wind can dry pavement we should avoid black ice tonight, at least from Connecticut south.

LIVE RADAR at 2:54 PM

on to the Wed storm I guess.
