You guys ready? Please send updates! Talking about a storm is better than politics or drama stuff. Lets enjoy this 1st real snowstorm since January 2022

Precip on the way but that's a lot of Virga! Virga means moisture falling from sky but not reaching the ground.

One of the more interesting aspects of this storm is how the wind direction will change from northly to easterly. I saw this output early this morning with numeric predictions (they could be off a few degrees?). The temps may be a degree or two off...but you can clearly see how the wind direction changes and how temps respond. This will be fun to watch and see how close NWS gets and if it matches their snow outputs?:

Except now we're not sure if it's even going to be much snow south of the Merritt/287.....

NWS even has mixing to rain happening as far north as Danbury, though the forecast is at least saying 3-7" there before that happens.

The higher amounts I see predicted for the NE and NW hills, would those totals also hold true for other higher elevation areas in the state? Is it a location/geography thing upping those totals or is it because the forecast is elevation dependent? Asking because I live at a higher elevation that is more central. I’ve been looking at forecasts but can’t find the answer to that specific question anywhere.

Plenty of time still... Lots of Virga! Light snow falling in NJ so its a few hours away from CT still.

Philly reporting snow so maybe a sign things are colder for us?

I swear this storm has brought out the crazies online. It's surreal lol. Fb, X, all the comments on NBC/WFSB and even here. Someone with the username Trump4life calling out one of the dudes who's just posting predictions.

Like, what??? What exactly am I reading here? How bizarre and just...weird. It's so freaking weird.

I can't believe that weather could ping all this rage into people and their typing fingers. But of course in real life, people aren't saying much about it at all. It's hardly a thing. But online it's like a major deal. I'm at my niece's basketball game this morning and yeah people have mentioned it in passing but it's immensely toned down compared to what you see on social media. No one is freaking out and no one is arguing with each other. Our modern day way of living is strange

So it looks like NWS Upton finally updated their output map (3:22 PM). Since the storm is actually upon us, I guess its fair to call this their "final call". After changing several times for 2 days, I guess they really struggled to find a perfect medium.

So this is it...lets see how close NWS/NOAA gets
