You can tell CT has barely seen snow in a couple years. The hype over a 6 inch or so event the last week has been ridiculous, lol. (Talking about the news, fb, X, etc).

Completely agree, and I can't believe I'm already seeing some complain over it!

I put a post in the weather thread, but I wouldn't trust the NAM (or any forecast) yet. Especially with a weaker storm there's massive uncertainty over where the center of the storm will be, and of course that's everything

Bring it on. I'm taking my birthday off to go skiing on Tuesday. I have no problem doing some snow blowing Sunday morning. Good fun These CT storms are child's play.

Don't speak too soon - 12Z GFS just came out and says 10" for coastal CT. As I just said, we won't know until we know!

I’m guessing the amateur meteorologists are too “busy” to update the group but total QPF has moved much lower and more warm air has invaded. Northern NYC has gone from a foot to snow to no snow in less than 24 hours. 3-6” is the new expectation for folks north of the Merritt.

18Z NAM was a slight trend south/ stronger, which means the shoreline will get more (has lower totals for north of Merritt so less spread). NYC might get an inch.
