Got it...Vernon - I remember someone posting an apartment complex on here that looked very nice and new, and was I *think* in that price range. Maybe someone else remembers them and/or you can find it via searching this forum. I think they were townhome style apartments.

Have you also considered the Ellington Area? Very nice and not totally removed from things either. Not sure about apartments there though - that's the hard part about "rural".

Past Manchester on RT44 into the Conventry/Bolton area around Bolton Lakes is very nice and still very near things you need.

Perhaps a *touch* more than you wanted to spend, but perhaps you can negotiate a deal in "these times".
