Corpus Christi and the surrounding area is great. We have chosen that market to open our rock, flagstone, landscaping and material company.

Let me lay it on the line. I have been involved in investigations in the entire South Texas area. So don't tell me what supposedly does not happen.

I guess the high school boy in Rockport that hacked up another high school boy with a hatchet never happened?

I guess the buss driver that lost it in Rockport and starting shooting people at the school never happened?

I guess the high rape and murder rate per 1k of people in Corpus and south Texas is not true even though that is what
the FBI reports?

I guess the crime rate in Corpus being higher then the National Average is not true even though City-Data has proof of that also along with FBI and others?

Here is more info for you gabetx since I am so stupid and don't know what I am talking about. I already posted links on the other thread here is some more info.

and of course we have this also...
1. They fell 17 places on Forbes list for best places for Career and Business in one year and the City of Corpus Christi is near the bottom now.

2. Second stupidest city in the nation as ranked by Men's Health.

3. Tenth worst drivers in the nation.

4. Second worst roads in America.

5. Went from #1 Digital City in the United States to not on the list in just one year.

6. Number 1 in rape for the state of Texas.

7. One of the highest murder and violent crime rates in Texas.

and here is a quote from the FBI stats...Corpus Christi is rated one of the most violent cities in Texas. With the exception of 2005, the murder rates are outrageous if you consider the size of the population here.

Here is the intelligence rank for Corpus Christi according to Men's Health (populations over 150,000). Scroll to bottom.

Statistically, CC does have some crime problems, but nothing outstanding compared to other cities that size.

Above is a comparison to one of my favorite cities that's comparable in size to CC. You can substitute and compare many cities on the site.
