Chickrea.. have you thought about Nevada? Like Carson City, or one of the smaller communities near there. Reno/Sparks is nice, but can be a bit costly. You would be near a couple really large lakes for your water.. and near Salt Lake for your kids.

Actually we had thought of Nevada. How far is Carson City. We had thought of Mesquite only because my husband just doesn't want to be in the state of Utah, but Mesquite isn't as pretty as St. George

Bain instead of saying you know everything GIVE US SOME SOURCES.

I say there hasn't been a murder of a stranger here in years- its all family disputes and one person shooting his boss over non-payment.

Fact - the EPA gave Rockport its Blue-Ribbon award for the cleanest of the 61 beaches in Texas.

I've lived all over NY CA LV CT FL AZ and Rockport -except for hot Texas summers, is a friendly, clean and great place to live.

Our schools were great but have declined somewhat. There were people who wanted change running in the last school board election - did you even Vote or do you just like to sit behind your computer and complain?

I wouldnt worry about what was said negatively about Rockport. From what I can tell it seems everyone really likes it. I have been very impressed with Texas everytime I have viisited. I had a great time in Corpus a month or so ago.

Default Bain bitter old man

We've asked for facts and you keep telling us your opinion. You say city data has them -then why don't you show us?

Its sad to see you so bitter and like many criminals I've defended and prosecuted - you blame everything else -even an entire town for your problems. SO many posts and such few facts and NO LOGIC.

Thanks everyone for the info re: Rockport. I was considering applying there to get away from the memphis, tn crime and drugs. But from your comments, maybe I should keep looking...
