This board seems to have no problem with necroposting, so here's mine:

Cunard. Nothing outclasses them in my opinion.

1 more for Carnival.

We have only been on Carnival, however, about 5 times. We are a younger family so it is perfect for us. The food is wonderful, things go on til late, kids have fun, people are balanced and not so stiff, we like to have fun we are not worried about being in luxury. We always get a good price with an ocean balcony room, never had a bad experience with Carnival. Plus they goto the destinations we like.

Which has more entertainment on a 3.5 star ship; Carnival or Royal Caribbean? Although I enjoyed the cruise with RC on the Sovereign of the Seas, I think they were lacking entertainment. When we sailed away, they had activities going on the pool deck, the rest of the time they didn't seem to have anything else going on the pool deck. I like to sit on the pool deck and listen to the band or participate in the activities. Now on the other hand, we sailed on the Navigator of the Seas and the entertaiment was endless! Of course, that was a 5 star ship. Does anyone know if Carnival has a lot of entertainment on the pool deck?

Carnival has non stop entertainment on the pool deck. RCCL'S larger ships also do.

I've cruised on Carnival, Princess, Holland America, Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, and NCL.
I really enjoyed my last cruise on NCL because it was to Europe, and I got this wonderful upsell to a Suite-I had booked a Mini-Suite.

For lots of information go to Cruisecritic.com, click on boards, also Cruisemates.com

If you have AOL you can show up in our chat at 10pm eastern, kEYWORD-cruises
Also here is a site with ship reviews-http://members.tripod.com/~PARNAMI/

I know the person, personally. He is usually in the AOL chat. It used to be part of Cruise Critic, so some of CC's hosts are in the chat.

Disney is amazing!!! We went (now this was years ago) when ours was a tweener. Mom and Dad probably enjoyed it more than he did. LOL.

We don't care for carnival at all.........

That's good to know. I know from experience on RC they do. We may try Carnival next. I know many ppl say you can't compare the two though.
