When Mexican military & police "accidentally" cross into the US ... and in some cases "accidentally" hassle local residents and law enforcement officers they are detained and returned to Mexico with their weapons.
If Mexico does not immediately release him the next group of Mexican soldiers who "accidentally" cross the border should be returned to Mexico in BODYBAGS.

He comes off as a bit "off" in the 911 call. Mexican authorities have alerted him that he illegally had guns on Mexican soil, so he calls 911 to complain that they are trying to take his guns? Not that he might be arrested and to contact an Embassy? Strange. I wonder if he put up a fight over his guns being taken.
Absolutely his treatment in jail is abhorrent. Mexican jails are scary places.
Wow, talk about spin....have you followed this story at all? Where did you get that he has "severe mental problems?" He did have PTSD but people with PTSD are capable of functioning. They are cops, teachers, engineers, managers,etc. They happen to work in all sorts of careers. Do you think they should be locked up?
He was MOVING to San Diego which is why he had ALL of his possessions. Your comment that he had a "trunk filled with semi-automatic weapons" proves you have not read/watched the video's. He wasn't in a car with a trunk, he had a truck. When he called 911 he told the woman he had 3 guns and when he was stopped at the border he told them he had 3 guns. He was not some luntatic driving around with a "trunk filled with semi-automatic guns". He was MOVING!!!!!
I find it amazing that all I did was post a link and asked if people wanted to support the Marine with just a signature, please do, if not, then move along. Now there are 5 pages of attacks against this man, all of which are calling him a liar a nut, a maniac, idiot, etc.

I'm as amazed as you are, this is a huge news story that has been covered extensively for over two months now, and if these ignorant posters had a clue they would know this kid is completely innocent and being abused my a corrupt Mexican government.
No one is interested in getting the facts, they take it out on the kid. He had been in Mexico all day, and when he walked back to the US where his truck was parked, he made a wrong turn in an unmarked construction zone that had no signs posted, and ended back at the border. When he realized where he was he told them he took a wrong turn and wanted to go back. Instead they called the military and arrested him. He was stripped naked and ties to a bed when he is beaten servery on a daily basis.
He had guns in the truck because he was moving to San Diego and had everything he owned in the back.
You people should all learn the facts before making complete fools of yourselves. Doesn't anyone ever follow the news?

That was classic. Then after being told by the dispatcher, that there is nothing she could do for him, he came up with the brilliant “I’m not sure if I’ve crossed yet,”. She actually had to explain to him that if he was talking to Mexican authorities, then he was in Mexico. He sounds like he is in total denial at that point.
It reminds me of those weird 911 calls, like the woman who called 911 to complain that McDonald's was out of Chicken McNuggets.
Tahmooressi and his mother initially claimed he had just moved to San Diego and this was the first time he had ever tried to cross into Mexico. However, that story began to unravel after Mexican media reports surfaced alleging that he had crossed the border several times prior.
Earlier this week, his mother changed the story. Jill said Tahmooressi actually walked into Mexico earlier on the day of his arrest to get lunch, then crossed back to get his truck. She told 10News that her son's attorney told Tahmooressi to tell Mexican prosecutors that he had never crossed the border.

Actually he was already in Tijuana with his girlfriend in a hotel, then walked back over the border the next day to get his truck and then crossed back over the border to Mexico with his guns! You, a lot of other Faux news watchers and the OP got totally taken in by this story. As I said a few posts ago the whole story did not add up. It is starting to now. Sounds like another idiot who shouldn't possess weapons and should probably suffer the consequences of his actions. I was down there a few days ago and you couldn't possibly just accidentally end up in Mexico with a truck full of guns and ammo- especially after having just entered it and having seen all the warning signs about the consequences of entering Mexico with guns!.
